This is a great product - but I really did not expect less judging by all the other positive reviews - and according to package, it is built in US which is an added bonus for me. I have been using it for 8 days now - still the same electrode pads - but had to put a new set triple A batteries in the device itself after 2 days (the remote works on round lithium batteries and they usually last quite long). The triple A style batteries were a bit of a disappointment at first because the package said they would last for 150 30-minute sessions per set of batteries - not sure what went on with my first set of batteries - but I am updating my review today (after a total of 8 days of using this device, I am still on my original pads and the second set of batteries is still going strong (Update 4/17).This is now my second update (4/26): I finally had to change the second set of AAA batteries this afternoon - this means they lasted for about 15 days at more than 10 treatments a day (I am super happy). AND, I am still on the original electrode pads!! My first set of batteries must have been bad, or I did not have the pads stuck onto my back tightly enough. Sometimes, the little yellow light in the remote comes on, and you just have to try to get the pads on better - it is not necessarily the batteries. I use the device at about 70% strength almost all day long. This is awesome! Having no wires is "heaven".Regarding pads, since I wear this device all day - now on 15th day (same/original pads), they are not sticky enough that I trust them to hold on while vigorously walking - they are still great just sitting in my chair - and when I do minor walking (i.e. cooking), I now wear elastic workout top/shirt which is very tight (you'll need some help from a second person who has to lift the shirt over the unit) - alternately, you might be able to have someone tape it on with medical tape (I have not tried this) or use compression shirt - but I can still move with them as well (actually, once it is running, it seems to adhere better). You might have guessed, I am determined to get the ultimate most out of these pads :). What I do to keep my pads in shape, is use a toothbrush at the end of the day with a little bit of water and gently clean/wipe off the surface of the sticky stuff - don't worry, it is not sticky when it comes in contact with water, but this will remove some of the skin acids and skin flakes or even hairs that might have collected. Be careful, if the pads became too soft and less sticky - you can counter that by keeping device with pads uncovered overnight in refrigerator. That removes the extra moisture and makes the pads sticky again. Just a couple of tricks I learned from my other TENS units (I have lots and have always looked for something without electrode wires - this is it!!)PS - I noticed on some reviews that customers had issues with "pairing" - I personally did not experience any of it. I run this thing all day - when it turns off, I use remote to turn back on - absolutely no problem.I am not happy with my purchase. While I thought I had done enough research into it, I apparently did not.The images of the products from the various vendors or Amazon is very poor. The product is a light green, the information that were photographed is a light green and all very hard to examine and read.1. This is not the product or version of the product that I was expecting to get. Other descriptions indicated that the WiTouch Pro had buttons on the unit that could be used to make adjustments to the device once it was being worn and that one did not need to use the remote to do so. This was one of the essential elements for me in ordering the device.2. Another of the essential elements for me was that the WiTouch Pro as described by others indicated that it could be positioned on other parts of one's back and perhaps as low as on their hip.3. As per my understanding that initially when the WiTouch came on the market there were 2 types. One of them was the WiTouch Pro which could only be gotten when it was prescribed (that had the buttons on the one unit so that one could make adjustments to it once it was being worn) and the other which was called the WiTouch OTC that could be purchased without prescription. There were price differences between them. Later, the WiTouch Pro could be obtained without prescription.4. One product that is considered to be the same is the "Hollywog WiTouch" which is further labeled as OTC. Another is the "Hollywog WiTouch Back Massager, Wireless Remote Controlled Pain Relief Device, TENS technology to specifically target low back pain, Green." This is nicely described. The other product I saw was the DSS WiTouch (SP-566869-WiTouch Pro) which said in the first point of the listing that it could be operated with or without the control. However the one very faint picture did not show that it had the 2 buttons for controlling intensity. It is also twice the price as the others. Lastly, the other WiTouch Pro I found was sold through unbeatablesale.com There was one picture and while it too is faint, it was good enough to see that it had the 2 buttons which I assume are to increase or decrease the intensityof treatment. The sale price is $124.07. Shipping and handling is about $11.5. I saw another WiTouch for sale locally. On the box there were two checkboxes: One that said WiTouch and the other that said WiTouch Pro. The cellophane packaging on the one I received did say WiTouch Pro but there was no such marking on the box.I did not use the unit and can not speak to it's capabilities. It was bulkier and heavier than I expected given the information I had read about it. As soon as I saw that it was not the one I expected to get I just looked through what I had gotten. In defense of the company, the contents are packaged in a nicer cardboard box, and the inner packaging looks as though it will be very protective of the articles within. At this point I don't know if I will be pursuing another WiTouch Pro. I have used a similar product in the past but it wasn't built strong enough to meet my needs. The thought of using a TENS device without the wires is very attractive. Having to control it with a remote is not. If or when the remote breaks a new one needs to be purchased. The only replacement for it that I could find was over $40.For years, I have used the standard TENS unit for chronic back pain, and have always appreciated the relief received. However, this product which is "wire-free", is an absolute pleasure to use! No more peeling skin electrodes sticking to your clothes, or accidental electrode lead wire disconnection. No more bulky unit in your pocket, or lead wires accidentally getting pulled. It's slim profile makes it hardly noticeable under your clothing.I love it!!!I suffer from lower back pain that can be quite severe ('cos I'm a bloke I whine about it). The device really helps lower the pain level enough that I can practice Tai Chi at my normal level and also do home chores.Absolutely a lifesaver for me. It really works well and since purchasing this unit several months ago I have had no issues that couldn't be resolved after using the Witouch a few times each day for a day or so. Truly remarkable to have found this. The unit you sent me was not the Witouch Pro as you advertised. You sent me the regular model.Well worth the money and love this .So easy to use and works great .
